Description

Dabema is a tropical hardwood timber predominantly found in the rainforests of West and Central Africa. The freshly cut wood emits a distinctive scent. Dabema is also known for its excellent stability, with minimal distortion during the drying process.

Working Characteristics 

Dabema is generally easy to work with, though the interlocked grain can pose challenges during machining operations such as planning, molding, and routing. Tear-outs may occur, requiring careful handling. The wood takes nails, screws, and glue well, and it stains and finishes beautifully. However, it can lose color when directly contracting iron, so precautions are necessary during processing.
